It starts shortly after where Prince Caspian ends, and we encounter both ferocious sea serpents and harsh opinionated humans, yet unconditional love triumphs over all. Most fascinating of all is Reepicheep the valiant mouse who bravely encounters and befriends a dragon - his natural enemy! We see the imperfections in Caspian and Lucy and are reminded that they are every bit as human as are we. Best of all, it is a delightful read. I enjoy taking Voyage of the Dawn Treader to the beach and read it while listening to the waves! As the movie is being released soon, I believe it wise to read the book first, or right after. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader belongs on the bookshelves of those who wish to sail into a delightful saga of the sea.
