Nearly every single one of you out there reading this right now would prefer your movie to be in your native language. I'm sure there's going to be some desperate arguers trying to tell me how it's part of the charm that a movie is in a foreign film, I don't care. If the world was only one language, and you grew up watching all of your movies in one language, you would never say "Oh man, you know what I wish they'd do? Make a movie that we can't understand and have to read the whole time. " Subtitles are distracting. Instead of reading faces, you're focusing on the bottom of the screen. This gets really irritating in foreign films with quick cuts and fast talking. Instead of appreciating the acting nuances, you're seeing the words in a limited dimension. Sure you can tell the actor is mad as he screams in Japanese, however if he's playing around with words like Heath Ledger did in The Dark Knight, you won't notice or appreciate it. Cultural references get lost. First example that popped into my head is that the German expression for "blowjob" is blasen, but their words for "Blood & Kidney Tea" is Blasenoder Nierentee So, in the movie Knocking on Heaven's Door, Til Schweiger says to a nurse: Koennen sie mir einen blasen [aka "Nurse, can you give me a blowjob"] but then adds..... Nierentee bringen [turning it into "Nurse, can you bring me a bladder-kidney tea? "]

Umanità sfruttata, un protagonista di umili origini destinato a grandi cose, un guerriero incaricato di proteggerlo e un futuro di grandezza… Vi ricordano qualcosa? Praticamente ci troviamo di fronte a Matrix al contrario, ma senza l'impianto filosofico di supporto e con un personaggio principale che sembra uscito di peso dall'accademia delle principesse in pericolo, la cui unica funzione è farsi sballottare qua e là dagli eventi fino agli ultimi minuti. Insomma, se l'obiettivo era accattivarsi un pubblico giovane, alla ricerca di personaggi originali e giovani in cui identificarsi, forse qualcuno ha sbagliato sia script che casting.

The sets are highly detailed and proportional to the figures, as in the water rapids. The creatures are varied, numerous with life-like responses and charm. The storyline is linear, directed effectively, but without any artistry. The actors are not given enough time to develop their motives and the last ten minutes of the film is rushed. The bigotry, European actor in blackface with phonetic intertitles, the actor in a large monkey suit which is for some inexplicable reason vindictive, and the poor quality of the film are the only caveats to watching an otherwise exciting adventure. This film makes me question whether Edgar Rice Burrough's thoroughly plagiarized Doyle's story because there are too many similarities.

En parallèle, la veuve d'Albizzi accuse Cosimo d'avoir fait tuer son mari, provoquant le départ du Pape du palazzo Médicis où il était jusqu'ici hébergé. Persuadé que Lorenzo est innocent du meurtre de Giovanni, Lucrezia, aidée de Piero et du comptable Ugo, rassemble des indices qui semblent réorienter les soupçons vers un autre: Marco Bello!
